Welcome to Certified Anesthesia Services

Members of Certified Anesthesia Services have been providing continuous, 24-hour patient care at Sibley Memorial Hospital since 1976. The group’s association with providing anesthesia services at Sibley Hospital dates to World War II.

In addition to providing clinical anesthesia care for outpatients, inpatients and obstetric patients, members of C.A.S. are actively involved throughout the hospital and the hospital community, serving on many hospital committees. Some additional responsibilities include consulting in the Pre-Surgical Testing Center and the Intensive Care Unit.

C.A.S. is actively involved in the implementation of the Epic® electronic medical record system, and its members have leadership roles in numerous ongoing quality assurance and patient safety initiatives. Members of the department are actively involved in the implementation of the latest Enhanced Recovery from Surgery programs. Members are also involved in several initiatives trying to improve the overall patient experience

We are excited to be a part of the extended Johns Hopkins Medical Community.

We are also excited to be affiliated with Team Health. C.A.S. joined Team Health in December, 2014. The association with one of the nation’s top multispecialty physician practices provides expanded resources to improve quality and provide the community with top anesthesia care.

We are pleased to have the opportunity assist with your care in the brand new, state-of-the-art new hospital building. The new building incorporates any of the latest patient safety resources and hospital patient amenities.
